Description
Mountain Gear Lab (MtGL) Flat Rectangular Tarp
The simplicity of a rectangular flat tarp means its versatility. Firstly, as a group tarp, whether it’s cooking and sharing food under one roof in a raining day, or it’s gazing at bright starts or chatting with your fellows, be it casual or profound, in a breezy summer night, the tarp is actually the key to a more intimate and enjoyable camping life.
A flat tarp can also be used as a sleeping tarp as well, set up in the common A-frame structure, and can also be pitched in other forms, such as lean-to or half pyramid, depending on your campsite conditions or the weather. This flexibility, due to the non-catenary cut ridgeline of the flat tarp, is welcomed by experienced hikers.
However, I did make the four sides of the flat tarp to be curved. This does NOT limit the tarp’s flexibility, but makes it much EASIER to achieve a tighter pitch.
